A private tool for publishing our own videos to our own YouTube channels.

What this is

VOLCANO Uploader is an internal, single-operator tool. It takes a finished video file and its prepared metadata (title, description, tags, chapters, thumbnail) from our local production pipeline and uploads it to one of our own YouTube channels as a scheduled, initially private video.

Who uses it

Only the operator of this project. It is not offered to the public, there is no sign-up, and it holds no accounts other than our own YouTube channels.

Google API access

It requests these YouTube Data API v3 scopes:

• youtube.upload — to upload a video file to a channel we own.
• youtube.readonly — to read back the channel name, so the operator can confirm a token is bound to the intended channel before it is saved.

It does not read, modify, or delete anything else.
