1. Scope
VOLCANO Uploader ("the App") is a private tool operated by a single person to publish their own videos to their own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public and has no users other than its operator.
2. Google user data we access
The App requests these YouTube Data API v3 scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload— upload a video file, its metadata (title, description, tags, category, scheduled publish time) and its thumbnail to a YouTube channel owned by the operator.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly— read the channel's name and ID, shown to the operator so they can confirm that an authorization token is bound to the intended channel before it is saved.
3. How the data is used
Solely to perform the upload the operator requested, and to display the channel name for that confirmation step. The App performs no analysis, profiling, advertising, or any other processing of Google user data.
4. Storage and retention
- OAuth tokens are stored only on the operator's own computer, in the operator's user profile directory, with operating-system file permissions.
- No Google user data is transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated by us. The App runs locally and communicates only with Google's APIs.
- Tokens are kept until the operator deletes them or revokes access.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third party. No human other than the operator reads it. It is not used to train any AI or machine-learning model.
6. Limited Use
The App's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
7. Revoking access
Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the local token file has the same practical effect for the App.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children and collects no data from them.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
